The Sofie side chair is handmade from the finest Malacca cane rattan, stainless steel hardware, and our exclusive synthetic ArtFibre™, which can withstand rugged use. Each chair is meticulously handcrafted using the century-old method perfected by skilled Danish cane-makers in the 1970s. This technique creates signature organic marks by bending each piece of rattan into shape. Designed for indoor or fully covered outdoor use in low-humidity environments, the chair’s rattan frame will patina to a lovely light gray finish over time. If the original natural rattan look is desired, rub with linseed oil.
